Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives

The resort staff were all very friendly and provided excellent service. The All-inclusive package was of good value for money. The food served was fresh and with great variety. The environment was relaxing. We liked the free yoga classes. We had a late flight for departure and were assigned a speedboat transfer to the airport closer to the time. One plus thing was that we could stay in the resort and continue to use the facilities after check out. There’s an area where you can shower and rest. For us, it was a fine and enjoyable stay as we only went for a few days but we would be bored if we had a longer stay. The one thing that we did not like was the pre-payment process as they sent us a link to make the pre-payment. The payment website was iffy and their reservation number was different from booking.com’s. Payment cannot be verified on the resort website. Given scams in email and even via messages on booking.com app, the property was late in their response to verify the validity of the link and payment receipt so much so that we almost cancelled the booking.

From the moment I arrived at Cinnamon Dhonveli, I was warmly greeted and checked in by Mira, who truly set the tone for a memorable stay. Her professionalism, genuine smile, and attention to detail made the entire check-in process seamless and welcoming. Mira speaks Kazakh, Russian, English and Turkish. During my stay, dining at Rehendhi Restaurant was always a pleasure—thanks in large part to Srimanti, the restaurant manager, whose hospitality and leadership made every meal an exceptional experience. One of the true highlights of my stay was the incredible live performances by Damaso and Adi—known affectionately as the duo. Their music brought an unforgettable energy and warmth to every evening. With Damaso’s rich, soulful voice and Adi’s infectious rhythm and charm, the pair created a vibrant atmosphere that had guests singing along, dancing, and completely immersed in the moment. Whether they were performing upbeat Latin classics, smooth romantic ballads, or acoustic covers, their chemistry and talent were undeniable. DJ Faye Vera truly knows how to set the vibe and elevate the energy of any evening. During my stay, she brought the perfect mix of beats, style, and charisma to the party—creating an atmosphere that was both electric and unforgettable. Her music selection was spot-on, blending crowd favorites with fresh, high-energy tracks that had everyone dancing, smiling, and soaking up the moment. Whether it was a chill sunset set or a lively late-night session, Faye Vera read the crowd perfectly and kept the momentum going with ease.

This place is such a treat! It was our first time to the Maldives and we were very happy with our choice of resort. We were upgraded to a Beach Bungalow and, for us, this was absolutely the best option as it enabled us to walk out of our backdoor onto the sand and into the lagoon. Perfect! The room was really comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. We were only there for three nights and, despite it being peak dry season, we got torrential rain. However, this was a good excuse to enjoy a lovely lunch in the Tex Mex restaurant, as well as go for a massage. We really enjoyed the snorkeling and would have done excursions if the weather had been better. But we did see plenty of sea life in the lagoon, such as reef sharks, a turtle, a lion fish, a ray and titan trigger fish (we kept our distance, so no problem). We decided to go for half board which was ideal for us. We'd definitely do that again as there was plenty to eat on the breakfast and dinner buffets and the food was excellent. However, the food highlights for us were lunches in Tex Mex which were excellent!! It was lovely sitting there and watching a pod of dolphins swim by in the distance too. The staff work hard and in particular we were impressed with the cleaning staff who made up our room seemingly whenever we left it - it was like magic!

The resort is astonshingly beautiful. The staff is working very hard all the time to keep it clean and organised. Everyone was very helpful and nice, whenever we needed anything. Without exaggeration, everything was perfect.

There is absolutely nothing not to like! Overall, fantastic property with short distance to Male, that is maintained so well around the clock (house keeping visits twice daily), incredible staff whose focus is solely centered around customer satisfaction, stunning island, and plenty of amenities to keep one busy!!
